Delphi Prism in Visual Studio 2010
Delphi Prism 2010 running in the Visual Studio 2010 is in the works.
Here's an early demo of it earlier this year at Delphi Live!
Visual Studio 2010 support didn't make it into the Delphi Prism 2010 August 2009 release but it's planned to be in the next rev of Delphi Prism 2010 later this fall according to posts from the developers.
All Delphi Prism and RAD Studio users with current maintenance will get it when it's available. That's a good reason to keep current with your maintenance because new feature releases are only available to users on maintenance.

Getting touchy with The Register's review of RAD Studio 2009
The Register, who always seem to have an interesting spin on things, covers Embarcadero's announcement of RAD Studio 2010 and the new touch and gesturing support.
Interesting how the article says "Unless there's some radical expansion in Windows' touch and gesture capabilities out of the box, this type of input in Windows will likely remain a domain-specific experience limited to vertical sectors and is unlikely to become as ubiquitous as, say, the iPhone touch experience."
I personally don't think the acceptance of touch and gesture hardware is dependent on Microsoft radically expanding the touch capabilities of Windows beyond what's there already. I think we have the solution and the hardware options are expanding so we should expect the market for touch apps to expand. And when that all happens, users of Delphi, C++Builder and RAD Studio will be ahead of the game and ready to deliver those apps.

Embarcadero just posted information on new Firebird database support in Delphi 2010, C++Builder 2010 and RAD Studio 2010. There's a video showing using Delphi 2010 to work with Firebird databases.
According to the site, this week's sneak preview showcases RAD Studio 2010’s expanded database connectivity, including first time support for Firebird and updated drivers for popular DBMSs. The DataSnap multi-tier framework has been updated for easier interactions via standard communication protocols.

The RAD Studio 2010 suite launches August 25, with upgrades to the Delphi, C++ and Delphi Prism tools. Delphi Prism is Delphi specifically tuned for writing .Net applications using the Visual Studio Shell, instead of stand-alone apps like traditional Delphi.
One of the biggest changes is the addition of support for Windows 7. Support for touch/multi-touch and mouse-based gestures is also included which extends to older versions of Windows. Thanks to Embarcadero's own gesture libraries, Delphi 2010 can import code written from its 1.0 version back in the 1990s and turn it into a gesture-based application.

Embarcadero to upgrade acquired Borland tools
ComputerWorld and InfoWorld recently published an article about Embarcadero's plans to upgrade the (former Borland) tools Delphi, C++Builder, Delphi Prism and RAD Studio.
